To help support as many people as possible to get online for the first time, we’re working with Superfast Cornwall to manage their volunteer network, and provide volunteers and training for those who wish to help.
Volunteers with some computer experience are being recruited across Cornwall to help others to get to grips with IT. You can get involved in various ways, either through supporting computer courses being run in your local library or church, or even setting up your own courses or drop in sessions in a local community venue such as a village hall or pub.
In return for your time, the volunteer network is able to offer access to accredited training courses, for example in IT or teaching. This is a great opportunity if you are keen to develop your own skills. Volunteering is also a great addition to your CV if you are looking to develop your career.
