Inspiring NOT Defining is our new programme for 16 – 18 year olds aimed at equipping young people with the tools and opportunities into work, training or further education that is right for them. Rather than a one-size-fits all course, young people will have the opportunity to work with a personal mentor to define their own future – exploring career options and gaining a head-start towards their goals.
Over the course of the programme, young people will be working towards gaining multiple qualifications, including; Employability Skills, English, Maths and ICT. This will also include attending sessions around Personal Character Development, Changing Beliefs, Aspirations and Attitudes.
We will also arrange a Work Placement 1 or 2 days a week to gain the necessary skills and basics from the world of work. This project has an ultimate long term aim to establish a “Skills Shop” which will be owned and run by young people. This project will be delivered on 4 days a week for 15 weeks to 16-18 year old learners.
‘TASH’, our Training And Support Hero, will guide, coach and support young people throughout the programme to increase their choices and opportunities.
Programme benefits include:
- 1 –1 Mentor support

- References from Employers
- Gaining Qualifications
